This may not be the highest quality photo to exist, but it is an image of my favorite place in the entire world. I lived in Seoul, South Korea for two years. During my time there I was able to quickly take this picture while riding the subway to get to my internship. I crossed the Han River nearly every day while I was there. Not only was the river calming to me during the busiest of rush hours on the subway, I would also go there almost every weekend to relax with my friends. My best memories are set by this river. I hope one day you are able to travel to Seoul to see this amazing place!
Oh, how great that you lived in Seoul, Kelsea! Wow! I have never been to Korea, but I am a huge fan of Korean food. I think I could have a very nice time traveling... and munching!... in Korea! There is a historical legend that ties the royal family of Ayodhya (that you will see in the Ramayana) with Korea: KOREA - THE 'AYODHYA' CONNECTION ... maybe that is a legend you could use to blend Indian and Korean legends into a project for this class!
ReplyDeleteI miss Korean food so much! I hope I am able to go back again one day. The legend about Ayodhya and the connection to Korea is so interesting! I will have to look more into how Korea can fit into this class.
DeleteHi Kelsea! I am so jealous that you got spend two years in Seoul, South Korea. I have always wanted to go there and it is definitely on my list of places to go after I graduate. I really like being by the water so I definitely get what you mean when you said the river is calming. What kind of internship did you do while you were there and have you been back to visit since?
ReplyDeleteHi Kelsea! I am so jealous and fascinated of your two years in Seoul. What is your favorite Korean food and what is your favorite place in Seoul? Did you ever swim the Han river or is that not allowed? Two of my best friends are Korean and they miss Korea so much. Maybe when I go back to my home country of the Philippines, I can convince my family to make a pitstop in Seoul! :)
