1. Gossip Girl Ayodhya
First impressions of a story are often given by the title. For this storybook, I am not sure what to expect from just seeing the title alone. I am not sure what Ayodhya is, is it a town? The name of a person? Outside of not knowing Ayodhya, the theme of using Gossip Girl will ensure that their story will have a lot of drama.
After going to the introduction, everything becomes clearer. I liked how the author uses the color blocking to separate the text; I would like to use this on my own blog. Also, using a popular show to explain the epic was a good idea. This makes the material easier to understand.
The title of this blog implies that the author will explain a love story. From first glances, I like how they set up their blog. It looks very put together and easy to navigate. When it comes to the images that the author used, it makes very well with their theme.
After reading the introduction, I am able to understand the direction of their story. I became very intrigued by the story of Nala and Damayanti. Overall, I had a very good impression of this blog of the storybook.
3. Stories of the Wild West
Lawless...adventure...these are the words that come to mind when I think of the wild west. After reading the introduction, the title starts to make more sense. The characters in the Epic are seen as outlaws with an American backdrop. I like how the author made a more related scenario. I would like to apply this style to my writings as well. But, in comparison to the other storybooks, this blog has one less section. I like having the 3 parts of a story rather than two. It makes the story seem more complete.
