Indian Epics 2018

This week I watched: Eric Whitacre's Virtual Choir, "Fly to Paradise"  This video, in my opinion, was a great way to get the semester. It was really cool to see the influence of technology on the choir. The song has nothing to do with Rama, but it is an ending to a great semester. I hope you all have an amazing summer vacation!   In the blog feed this week, the sand art also stood out to me. I wish I could create something like this! This week went by so fast. When I was looking back at the posts from earlier this week, I noticed the pictures of bangles . When I was little, I used to wear them all of the time. I did not realize that the word came from India. It is really interesting to see which aspects of cultures around the world become common in the U.S. Source As for the video, I decided to watch Ram's Secret - Part 1 | 7 Secrets of Vishnu . I am still trying to understand the role of Vishnu in the culutre of India. So, this video gave me more insight and the understanding that Vishnu, in relation to our readings, Rama is an avatar of Vishnu that gives into "animal instincts."
