Growth Mindset: A Beginning
A crucial part of having a growth mindset is to be able to listen to other people. After looking through different quotes or experiences, I have found two insights that stood out to me.
1. "Reflection is crucial when you are having a hard time learning, and need to reflect on WHY you are having a hard time". This means that you need to take a step back and look at what you are doing. From personal experience, it is so hard for me to do this. I try to avoid something if I fail or I am not good at it. To reflect on something, you have to go back to it. I will try to reflect on my assignments this semester.
2."Forgetting Is Sometimes Hard Choosing Happiness Is Possible" This is such a fun way to understand the growth mindset. It is always an option to be happy. I forget this sometimes when I fail. This semester, I will have to remember this. It is so important to keep moving and more linger on your mistakes.

Hi Kelsea! I totally agree with you about how said that reflecting on something that I am not good at is really hard. In reality so many people end up giving up on things when they think they aren't good at them and I'm definitely one of those people with some things. Can you imagine how different the world would be or even our own lives would be if we were to reflect on the things we thought we were bad at instead of giving up on them?
