Famous Last Words: Finding Balance
This week has been absolutely amazing! I arrived to the U.K. for a short trip before I go to Germany. I have loved every second here. I have been to London, Cardiff, Manchester, Liverpool, Glasgow, Stirling, Stonehaven, and Edinburgh. Words cannot describe how thankful I am to be here.
So far, my favorite city has to be Glasgow in Scotland. I honestly did not know this city existed before I started planning my trip. But, a good friend of mine lives there, so I was able to meet her again and meet her friends. I was there for National Pancake Day. It is so crazy to see that pancakes are crepes here. I was not expecting that. As for the weather, I have somehow not see too many rainy days here. The U.K. is famous for rain, but I have been so luckily so far. It has been either cloudy or sunny. Plus, it is the off season for tourists, it has not been crowded.
Because of my travels, I was not able to post properly for the last couple of weeks, but I am back! I was able to start my portfolio assignment. This is a good option for me because I would like to take more time to develop my creative writing skills. I have never seen myself as a creative person, so this is a good opportunity. I am very excited for the upcoming weeks to get back in a full routine and learn more about Indian Epics!!
Starting on March 1st, I will begin my semester at the University of Heidelberg. Words cannot describe how exciting I am for the next 6 months. Time has been going by so fast. Outside of this class, I will take an intensive German Language program and 2 other lectures concerning European politics.

Wo, that's super cool that you're in Europe, I have always wanted to go to Europe. Spending Pancake Day in Glasgow sounds like it was a blast, I really like crepes. Congrats on being able to study at the University of Heidelberg, I hope you have a great time.
ReplyDeleteThis made my heart so happy to see! I studied abroad in Edinburgh for a summer and have been to the Stirling Castle as well! I hope that you have the best time ever. Please continue to share you adventures so I can live through you. Thank you so much for sharing!
ReplyDeleteKelsea, it sounds like you are truly enjoying life in Europe right now! I have always wondered what it would be like to study abroad. I've always heard visiting Great Britain is amazing and because of the rainy weather I would like it even more. I really enjoy rainy weather, maybe not necessarily when it freezes everything like in Norman right now though. I wish you luck throughout the rest of the semester and throughout your travels!
