Famous Last Words: On the Move

To wrap up this week, I will create my famous last words post. I find this assignment a good way to reflect what I have done with the week and what new information I have learned. I really enjoyed the reading this week. For me, I am able to retain more of the story from tales versus reading the epics themselves. After reading the different tales, I picked my top 3. The "Top 3 Readings" method has been very useful for my writing because I am able to go back and refer to the details to create my own story. I am looking forward to writing a new story for my portfolio next week. I feel that, as the semester is coming to an end, my writing style has started to improve. I still make mistakes, but it is getting better.

As for my life in Germany, this week has been great. I finished up the first month of my German language course. I am so happy that I am finally able to say a few words in German. I was even able to have a short conversation in German the other day. It is nice to see how my effort is starting to pay off. Because my classes have ended, I will go on a short adventure to France, Spain, and Portugal. Actually, as I write this post, I am on my way to the airport.

I hope you all are having a good weekend or Easter holiday! I know for me it is weird to not be with my family for Easter, but the Easter celebrations in Germany are just as great. And there are so many different types of chocolate.

As for an academic update, I just picked out my classes for my last semester at OU. It is crazy to see how fast time has gone. It feels like the other day I was on campus as a freshman.

  1. Hi there!
I find it so amazing that you are able to continue learning so much while abroad. I went abroad during the summer and couldn't imagine doing any more work than I was assigned as I just wanted to see everything. I guess you do have much more time over there which is nice!
Enjoy the rest of your time there and best of luck on that last semester of classes!

  2. It has been pretty cool to go back and look at how my own, as well as other's writings have improved throughout the semester. I feel like most of us started this class slightly confused with the structure, and how this all would work. As the semester has gone on it started to make a lot of sense, and feel very free.
