Topic Brainstorm

For my project this semester I have found 4 possible inspirations for my storybook:

1. Abhimanyu: Star-Crossed Prince (Volume 533)

I picked this story because royalty is always interesting to me. Since I am interested in the life of the prince, I feel like I am more likely to get involved with the story. I have no background on Abhimanyu, so everything would be new to me. As for the storybook, I could use his life and battles as the backdrop to a new storyline.

2.Rama: Retold from the Ramayana (Volume 504)

Rama is already a solid character and symbol in the epic. Again, he is royalty and born to important parents. This will always add drama to a story. I would be able to add new adventures to his life and I would be able to add backstories as well. Rama also has a love connection so it would be fun to explore that side of him. This story would have a lot of room to be creative.

3. Hanuman: The Epitome of Devotion and Courage (Volume 502)

I have never heard of Hanuman. Since he is a follower of Rama, it will be interesting to see how his presence is placed on Hanuman. It would be fun to explore how someone can be treated as a role model and how that shapes someone's life. The obstacles could be explored and how he reacts to the world would also be an interesting take on the story.

4.Ancestors of Rama: A Noble Inheritance (Volume 572)

Family drama! Nothing is more fun than looking at the connections and stories within one family. It would be interesting to write a backstory to maybe a new grandson. Or just exploring each generation. Either way, there would be enough content to explore throughout the semester to develop a new story.
